Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services provided by JemaBill Technologies Limited ("JemaBill", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, browsing our website, or using any of our bill payment and digital services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services Provided
JemaBill acts as an authorized technological payment aggregator facilitating the automated processing and fulfillment of digital utility and electronic services in Nigeria, including:
- Prepaid electricity token generation and postpaid utility bill payments.
- Telecommunication airtime and high-speed internet data subscriptions.
- Cable television bouquet renewals and activations (DSTV, GOtv, StarTimes, Showmax).
- National examination registration and result-checker PIN issuance (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, JAMB).
- Transactional and promotional bulk SMS delivery with registered Sender IDs.
- Virtual card issuance for authorized digital commerce and subscriptions.
2. Account Registration & Security
To access our bill payment services, you must register using an authentic Nigerian phone number and email address. You are responsible for preserving the confidentiality of your credentials, password, and transaction authorization PIN. Any action conducted under your authenticated credentials is deemed authorized by you.
3. Verification & Transaction Accuracy
JemaBill provides real-time customer and meter verification prior to transaction execution. It is the user's sole responsibility to verify the customer name, meter number, smartcard number, or recipient phone number displayed on the confirmation screen prior to authorizing payment. Once a digital token or airtime credit is dispatched by the downstream provider to the confirmed account, it cannot be reversed.
4. Fulfillment, Reconciliation & Refund Policy
JemaBill operates an automated reconciliation engine with strict financial invariants:
- Instant Delivery: Under normal network conditions, digital tokens and airtime top-ups are fulfilled within 2 to 5 seconds.
- Pending Transactions & Requery: If an upstream biller experiences a timeout or latency, the transaction is marked as
PENDING. Our reconciliation job automatically queries the provider at regular intervals until a final status is returned. - Automatic Refunds: If a provider explicitly fails to deliver the requested service or returns an unresolvable error, the debited amount is returned to the user's wallet automatically.
- No Ambiguous Forfeiture: JemaBill never charges a user for an unfulfilled transaction.
5. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use JemaBill's services for:
- Unsolicited spamming, scam broadcasts, or transmission of abusive content via Bulk SMS.
- Attempting to bypass security barriers, run automated card testing, or exploit system APIs.
- Any illegal activity under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
6. Intellectual Property
All interfaces, logos, software algorithms, design marks, and documentation relating to JemaBill are the proprietary intellectual property of JemaBill Technologies Limited.
7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be interpreted and governed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved amicably through good-faith negotiation, failing which they shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
